The American superhero movie SHAZAM is finally here with the much-awaited sequel ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’.
The movie is directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by Peter Safran. The upcoming movie stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, D.J Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou, and Helen Mirren.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods premiered at the Fox Village Theatre in the Westwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles on March 14, 2023, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 17.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, who considered it inferior to its predecessor. It underperformed at the box office, grossing just $128 million worldwide against a production budget of $110–125 million, and has been labelled Box Office Bomb.
The upcoming movie is a follow-up of its first part and revolves around the life of Billy Batson who transforms into his adult superhero alter “Shazam” after reciting the same magical spell “SHAZAM!”.
