The prominent Kapoor family has generated some of the greatest actors in the Bollywood film industry. The family tree begins with Prithviraj Kapoor, emerges on to Raj Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Zahan Kapoor, who is the grandson of Shashi Kapoor, will be reaping in his first Bollywood debut on the big screen with the Hansal Mehta-directed nail-biter film. The project is being named by some as the ‘big action commercial thriller’ and will see Hansal Mehta’s first alliance with producer Anubhav Sinha.
Meanwhile, Zahan Kapoor will also be accompanied by Bollywood veteran Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal.
Hansal Mehta when asked why he casted two new faces for the still untitled movie. He said, “With the subject at hand, I was very keen on doing this film with fresh faces. Both Zahan and Aditya have been selected on the basis of their talent and potential. The characters they play are very intricate and I’m sure the audience will love them too.”
Producer Anubhav Sinha, also said he didn’t want any star weight attached with the film and its characters personalities.
“Both Zahan and Aditya bring fresh energy and excitement to their roles. Hansal and I wanted to cast new actors in this human story as we want the audience to feel they are watching characters rather than any star in the film with preconceived notions. We’ve already started shooting for the film and the hard work these two are putting in is commendable,” he explained.
