Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Dunki. Based on a comedy-drama theme, this film marks Rajkumar Hirani and SRK’s first-ever collaboration together. Khan is the star of the year, having registered two consecutive hits.

The success trajectory has given some good statistics for the latest film. Before this, Jawan and Pathaan minted grand-scale revenue in the US markets. However, coming to Dunki’s release it seems like the makers have been taking cautious steps.

The film is slated to release tomorrow overseas and it has sold over 24 thousand tickets for 1450 shows in 500 locations, earning Rs 2.70 crore. His previous two films Jawan and Pathaan earned $15.23 million and $17.45 million respectively on the very first day of its release in the US.

Despite the film’s low trade, Dunki is doing well at the advance booking counter as it attained $60,000 in just one night. However, it will be a daunting task for SRK’s film to reach out to the audience, as it is facing two major competitions. Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet’s film Wonka will be released on the same day, which is highly anticipated by the fans.

Meanwhile, Prabhas starrer Salaar will be released on the 22nd of December globally. The film is directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel and features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in key roles.
