Kaagaz 2, the final film of late actor Satish Kaushik, is now in production. The film is a sequel to his critically acclaimed 2021, which starred Pankaj Tripathi.
Ratan Jain, the film’s producer, recently revealed an important update on the project. He added that Kaagaz 2’s post-production is “almost finished.”
“It’s an important project for me as Kaagaz was appreciated a lot by the audience. Satish Ji was a dear friend and this film was immensely close to his heart. When I saw the film, I realised the outcome is excellent and will impress and move audiences much like the first installment,” he said.
VK Prakash directs Kaagaz 2, which also stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Smriti Kalra, Anang Desai, and Neena Gupta. The film’s production was completed in January 2023, only a few months before Satish Kaushik’s death.
The plot concentrates around the hardships of an ordinary individual whose right to live is violated by protests and rallies.
Satish Kaushik died on March 9, 2023, in Delhi, following a heart incident. He died in the car before being transported to the hospital.
On March 10, his wife Shashi, daughter Vanshika, and several Bollywood celebrities attended his cremation in Mumbai.
