Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s “Shaakuntalam”, which is released in all of its languages, reportedly made 3 crore net on its opening day in India.

The movie, which was directed by Gunasekhar, includes a character named Dev Mohan. On April 14, the movie made its Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada theatre debuts.

Radhakrishna Entertainment tweeted a status update about the movie on Saturday. It tweeted, “#Shakuntalam following great reviews and strong WOM… Day1> Premiers’ Day1 revenue is currently $175k+.” We appreciate your tremendous support, USA audience. Overseas Release By @Radhakrishnaen9.”

Kalidasa’s well-known classic play Abhigyan Shakuntalam served as the inspiration for the Telugu film Shaakuntalam. The main focus of Shakuntala’s (Samantha) and King Dushyant’s (Dev) epic love story is Shaakuntalam, which is characterised as a fantastical tale.

King Dushyant meets Shakuntala while out hunting in the bush. They fall in love and wed, according to the Gandharva system.

Shaakuntalam made “3 crores in India net on its first day for all languages,” according to Sacnilk. In addition to earning 2.43 crore in Telugu, the film also did well in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.

When asked about Shaakuntalam, Samantha recently told the news organisation ANI that it is a love story. Love is also a universe unto itself.
Our cultural legacy is varied. Additionally, this film’s plot was adapted from one of our all-time favourites.

The movie also offers an engaging plot, great graphics, and breathtaking effects.
I’m simultaneously nervous and eager. The film has a significant budget. But I believe the general audience will adore the movie.
