Salaar: Makers reveal FIRST LOOK of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vardharaja Mannaar on his 41st birthday – Take a look

The first part of the franchise is slated for release, this Christmas and is set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, a Malayalam actor and filmmaker, turns 41 on October 16. The makers of the upcoming Christmas release Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire released the first glimpse of the actor in his character as Vardharaja Mannaar, the king, on his birthday.

Production banner Hombale Films released a post on their social media, taking the opportunity to wish their lead actor. Their post on Instagram reads: “Wishing Vardharaja Mannar, The King @therealprithvi, a majestic birthday.

The actor’s gruff avatar in a dusty t-shirt, accessorised with a septum nosepin, is what makes the look a lot more intriguing. The actor exudes charm and charisma in equal measure, and his appearance is complemented by a long-drawn black tilak on his forehead and a rudraksh necklace around his neck.

While more information about Prithvi’s character is being withheld, it is said that the actor would play a grey-skinned figure. In fact, when asked about his character’s actions in the film, the actor has stayed tight-lipped as well. He has gone on record, though, to say, “If I tell you that now it would take away all the fun. But, it’s not like Prabhas is the hero and I am the villain.”

As soon as the actor shared his first look on Instagram, wife Supriya Menon commented with a heart followed by fire emojis.

Supriya Menon, the actor’s wife, responded on his first look on Instagram with a heart and fire emojis.

Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame, is set to be released on December 22, 2023. Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu also play important parts in the film.
