Actor Parineeti Chopra has stepped into the shoes of taking part in the titular position in Saina Nehwal’s upcoming biopic, titled Saina. Parineeti as Saina Nehwal have nailed the look in the trailer.
After teasing the fans with a short video of Parineeti as Saina, the makers of Saina dropped its trailer on Monday, March 8th. In the trailer, glimpses of all the things Saina confronted to emerged as No. 1 badminton player. The film depicts Saina two important pillars in her life – her mom and her father. Manav Kaul performs her coach (on the traces of Pullela Gopichand).

Saina touches upon the gender related taboos in our society and it also shows the real journey of a badminton player.
The long awaited biopic on No. 1 Badminton player Saina Nehwal is directed by Amole Gupte. For the biopic, Parineeti has been religiously learning the game. She had shared that she was playing badminton for two hours every day and training for an hour at least to sport an athlete’s physique and attitude.
