Amidst the growing buzz around the sequel of Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore, the recent reports have suggested that there is no concrete development on the film as of now. Despite the frequent chatter in the film industry, an independent source, as per Bollywood Hungama, has claimed that the fans who are hoping for Rowdy Rathore 2 in near future, will be disappointed.
The Rowdy Rathore franchise is known for his mass appeal, high octane action, and charismatic performances, has long been a favorite among the audience. The film, released in 2012, featured Akshay in double role and emerged as a massive hit on the box office. In wake of its success, the reports of the film’s sequel has been making rounds for several years.
However, it has been revealed by the insider that no development has taken place in terms of production or script writing. “There are many names who have been wanting to be associated with the mega project, which is touted to be one of the massiest films of all time. But unfortunately, no such development is in progress so far,” shared the news portal.
Meanwhile, Akshay is recently wrapped shooting for Housefull 5 and Welcome to the Jungle. He is currently busy working Bhoot Bangla.
