Janhvi Kapoor turned a year older today, and we all know the actress has come a long way in the entertainment industry, with multiple content-driven and commercial achievements to her credit.
While the actress has also delved into the South industry with Jr. NTR’s ‘Devara’, Ram Charan’s next film announced today that Janhvi has signed on for her second Telugu film and would play an important role in the currently unnamed ‘RC 16’.

Sana Buchhi Babu, who gained popularity with the Telugu film ‘Uppena’, will helm the film. AR Rahman, an Oscar-winning composer, will score the much-anticipated picture. According to rumours, the filmmakers evaluated several candidates for the film’s lead, opposite Ram Charan, before selecting Janhvi Kapoor.
Ram Charan is expected to play a double character in the film, with Janhvi Kapoor portraying one of them’s female lovers. Mrunal Thakur, widely known for her performance in ‘Sita Ramam’, will co-star in the film with another ‘RRR’ actor. Officially, the makers have not revealed all of the characters.
