This month has been really exciting and full of realease dates for Bollywood, after the complete opening of the lockdowns, Bollywood is finally ready for the big screen.
A lot of projects are to go on air this year, pending movies from 2020 will also make way to the cinemas .The first one to hit the cinemas will be Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar on April 2, 2021.
Yash Raj production also announced the release of five new projects – Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Prithviraj.
Sooryavanshi is co produced by Relaince Entertainment and they are also producers of Ranveer Singh’s 83. Both these films were suppose to hit the cinemas early last year but due to the COVID-19 wave it was called off. With Sooryavanshi releasing on April 2 , makers of the films are planning to release 83 in June .
A source revealed ,”Yes, it’s indeed true that ’83would release in June and mostly, it’ll release on June 11.” The source continues, “Many were expecting 83 to release on June 25, the day the Indian cricket team won the 1983 World Cup. The Kabir Khan directorial is based on this historic episode. However, the makers are hoping to release it on June 11. It is expected to be the first Friday post IPL (Indian Premiere League) 14. Also June 25 is now ruled out as Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor, has taken over the slot.”
The source also adds, “An official announcement is expected soon. If all goes well, expect ’83 to be out on June 11.”
