Following the success of his 2023 hit “Jailer,” superstar Rajinikanth is preparing for another blockbuster collaboration, this time with famed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Rumours suggest that Bollywood star Ranveer Singh would be involved in the production, adding to the excitement.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh has been approached for a key role in Thalaivar’s upcoming film, which is said to be a compelling mafia drama that would showcase Rajinikanth in a new light. However, official confirmations from the creators or cast members are awaited.

If the reports are correct, Singh will have a rare opportunity to demonstrate his talent on a large Pan-Indian stage alongside the renowned Thalaivar.

Meanwhile, expectation grows as the first poster for Thalaivar 171, which features Rajinikanth in a massive avatar, sets the groundwork for the project’s title reveal on April 22, 2024. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed and wrote the film, which is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner.

Rajinikanth is currently filming his next film, “Vettaiyan,” directed by T J Gnanavel and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and others. “Vettaiyan” is described as an action drama, with Rajinikanth playing a former police officer.

Amid his hectic schedule, rumours circulate that Rajinikanth may reunite with director Nelson for a sequel to the 2023 blockbuster “Jailer.”

Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, is preparing for his future ventures, which include “Singham Again,” the third part in the Singham trilogy, and Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3,” in which he plays the famous Don with Kiara Advani.
