An obstacle has been faced by the eagerly awaited Nitesh Tiwari-directed “Ramayana” project even before filming has begun. According to recent rumours, Madhu Mantena, who co-produced the film with Allu Aravind, has reportedly stepped down from the production. However, there is no official statement from the creators confirming Mantena’s exit.

As of right now, Madhu Mantena’s alleged decision’s precise reasons are unknown. However, in light of this, Namit Malhotra, the CEO of DNEG, a well-known VFX studio, is now scheduled to join the production crew. DNEG’s remarkable portfolio includes blockbuster titles including “Oppenheimer,” “Ex Machina,” “Interstellar,” “Dune,” and “First Man.”

Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita, and Ranbir Kapoor is expected to play the legendary role of Ram in this adaptation of the “Ramayana.” After initial talks, Alia Bhatt was forced to withdraw from contention for the role of Sita owing to scheduling difficulties. Moreover, rumours state that Sunny Deol has been cast as Hanuman, and that Yash from “KGF” fame is probably going to play Ravana.

Additionally, discussions are still going on with Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi regarding the parts of Vibhishana and Kumbhakarna, respectively.

Although it was originally speculated that Amitabh Bachchan had been chosen to play King Dashrath, this casting choice has not been officially confirmed as of yet.

Prior rumours said that Ranbir Kapoor would receive specialist instruction in voice and diction for his part in “Ramayana.” By utilising his versatility as an actor, the goal is to set his portrayal of Ram apart from his earlier roles.

According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor is excited to be expanding his acting repertoire and discovering new paths.

Filming is expected to begin in the summer of this year for Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of “Ramayana.”
