The makers of Stree 2 have officially confirmed the start of filming on Tuesday, July 11, and things are looking to get bigger and better. The upcoming film, directed by Amar Kaushik, stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee.
Rajkummar announced the film’s start date on his own Instagram account. He published a video and indicated that Stree 2 will be released in August 2024.

Several celebrities expressed their excitement for the film shortly after Rajkummar uploaded the post. While Bhumi Pednekar wrote, “Caaaaasant wait guys,” Huma Qureshi and Guneet Monga added some fire and heart emoticons to the comments area.
The sequel is expected to have a slew of new surprises. The original Stree, which was released in 2018, was a celebrated smash that reinvented the horror comedy genre.
Aparshakti appears in Stree as Bittu, a friend of RajKummar’s character Vicky. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, commonly known as Raj & DK, wrote the horror-comedy.
