The actor recently dropped the teaser for Raid 2, a sequel to his 2018 film Raid, which saw the actor protraying the role of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Amay Patnaik. The film also features Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla.
The teaser also reminds the audience of Ajay’s character, Amay, raided the house of Saurabh’s character, Rameshwar Singh, only to discover black money hidden in temple. While the latter is now in jail, Amay is onto his 75th raid, this time targeting the house of yet another powerful politician, played by Riteish.
Sharing the teaser, Ajay wrote, “74th Raid, 4200 Crores. Iss baar baazi hogi sabse badi!”
In the short one minute teaser, the intense exchange between the characters of Riteish and Ajay promises an entertaining mix of action, suspense, and high stakes drama in Raid 2.
The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the first Raid, and is set to release on May 1. The Panaroma Studios production also features Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial, among others.
The first Raid, which starred Ileana D’Cruz, was based on a real life income tax raid conduction in the 1980s.
