It was only recently that producer Ratan Jain confirmed that he is in stage of initial discussions with Shah Rukh Khan over sequel of the much acclaimed thriller ‘Baazigar’, as per reports by Times of India. While there has been no concrete script prepared until now, but the producer has underlined that he will move forward with the plan, only if SRK is involved. According to him, the possibility of Baazigar 2 hinges on the fact that a good storyline which acknowledges the original film.
Baazigar was released in the year 1993 and was directed by Abbas-Mustan which gave a distinct turn to SRK’s career as his role was in a negative aspect, which was new from the conventional Bollywood hero portrayal of that time. The role was initially to Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan, however it landed with SRK, who gave a wonderful performance of a vengeful Vicky Malhotra.
