According to the reports Phoebe Waller-Bridge might bring a twist in the caste of Indiana Jones.

The 37 year actress could be replacing Harrison Ford as the lead in the fifth installment of the “Indiana Jones” franchise which is said to drop in the theaters next summer, as per the reports in the Daily Mail.

Some sources informed the outlet that producer Kathleen Kennedy was considering making major changes which might incorporate replacing the main lead with a woman.

“It would be a huge statement, and a great role for Phoebe,” as per the reports from Mail.

 The “Fleabag” star had been cast opposite the 79-year-old Ford in the film as announced earlier this year of which the name has not been revealed.

Ford had been essaying the iconic role since the first film, “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” in 1981.

Though it’s still not apparent who Waller-Bridge’s will play in the upcoming movie

But according to the sources from the Mail, “The gossip on the set is that this character will slot into the leading role.”

The operation has been getting delayed due to Ford’s shoulder injury caused during a fight scene hence the release was pushed off again this summer.
