Apple Original Films has now joined hands with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the worldwide launch of “Napoleon” on November 22, 2023.

Earlier, Phoenix joined Scott for the movie “Gladiator,” a 2000s hit. However, the first look of the film released features Phoenix on horseback in a battle scene. The historical drama is directed by Scott and stars Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte, the French ruler and military leader.

The cast includes Vanesha Kirby as Empress Josephine as his leading lady, Tahar Rahim, Mathew Needam, Jodie Comer, Yourself Kerkour, Edouard Philipponnat, Benjamin Chivers, Hannah Elvin, Liam Edwards, Paul Rhys, Jonathan Barnwell, and many more.

On Monday, the news was announced just after a week of Apple’s partnership with Paramount. The Canese-bound “Killer of the Flower Moon” by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, and Robert De Niro, will have a theatrical launch before it is available for streaming.

The story tells about the French Emperor Napoleon and his military leadership. He was fearless, swift, and furious. It shows the dependency and comfortable relationship between him and his beloved wife, Josephine. It also keeps records of all his historical military and battlefield achievements.

As per the sources, Apple Original Films is spending $1 billion on the movie’s theatrical release. The script is written by David Scarpa and produced by Ridley Scott.

The cinematography is done by Darius Wolski, and the music is by Martin Phipps. It is distributed by Apple TV+ and Sony Pictures Releasing. The drama will be available in English all over the United States and the United Kingdom. They have not specified how long the movie will be in the multiplex.
