Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming rom-com film, Loveyapa, alongside Khushi Kapoor, daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. During his promotions, Junaid shared that he was initially a bit hesitant about accepting Loveyapa. He admitted being suprised when director Advait Chandan offered him the lead role as his personality was different and so far away from the character.

Junaid and Khushi both discussed how Loveyapa is the remake of Tamil film Love Today. Junaid explained that director approached him with the idea and suggested him to watch the original film, the rights of which he had acquired.
Khushi also mentioned that she had watched the original film after her father recommended it, and she immediately loved the story. She also recalled that post the first narration, she did not have any second thoughts about taking on the role.
