Noted Siddique, a Malayalam director, passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Kochi. He was admitted to Amrita Hospital with bronchopneumonia and chronic liver illness, and he passed away while receiving care. He was 69. In light of Siddique’s passing, actor Dulquer Salmaan has decided to delay the premiere of the trailer for his upcoming movie, ‘King of Kotha,’ which he had already scheduled for August 9.

“Due to the demise of director Siddique, the launch of KOK trailer has been postponed.” according to a statement released on Twitter by Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films.

Earlier Dulquer also took to social media and paid tribute. He wrote, “The gentlest soul. The kindest human. A gifted writer/director. The most incredible humor hiding behind his soft demeanour. He gave us some of the most iconic films. Part of our pop culture and referred to in our everyday conversations. This is an immeasurable loss. Prayers and strength to Siddique Sir’s family and loved ones.”

The statement shared by ANI about Siddique’s death quoting a doctor at the hospital read, “He was put on a ventilator for respiratory failure and his condition improved with medical management. He was taken off the ventilator and was on supplemental oxygen therapy. While on treatment, he had a massive heart attack while undergoing treatment in the hospital and underwent emergency angioplasty. He was placed on ECMO support due to cardiogenic shock and respiratory failure. He developed multiorgan dysfunction with clinical deterioration and was declared dead on August 8, at 9.10 pm.”

Dulquer Salmaan debuted the movie’s teaser back in June. It showed how the King, also known as Dulquer, makes a comeback to protect the Kotha people and their homeland from evildoers. He appears in a dynamic avatar.

Along with Shabeer playing Kannan, actor Prasanna portraying Shahul Hassan, Aishwarya Lekshmi playing Tara, Nyla Usha playing Manju, Cheman Vinod playing Ranjit, Gokul Suresh playing Tony, Shammi Thilakan playing Ravi, Shanthi Krishna playing Malathi, actor Saran playing Jinu, and Anikha Surendharan playing Rithu.

This year’s Onam is set for a joyous release of the Abhilash Joshiy-directed movie. The Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of the Pan India movie will be available.

Siddique made films in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in addition to Malayalam. Director of Salman Khan’s Bodygaurd which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
