Kiara Advani’s fans can rejoice today! According to rumours, the 31-year-old young promising actress will play the lead part in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Baiju Bawra with superstars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
According to a source close to the development, “Kiara Advani has signed the Sanjay Leela Bhansali upcoming directorial Baiju Bawra alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.”
If the rumours are precise, this will be the second film in which Kiara Advani and Ranveer Singh would appear together. Before Baiju Bawra, Kiara and Ranveer will co-star in Farhan Akhtar’s forthcoming film Don 3.
The first episode of filmmaker Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan Season 7, which is available on the OTT channel Disney+Hotstar, featured stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The episode’s highlight was the rapid-fire round, in which Ranveer Singh was asked about the last person he stalked. Ranveer jokingly referred to actress Kiara Advani. When asked “Why,” Ranveer said, “Why not?” I like her, she is a Sindhi.”
We now understand why Kiara’s name came up in the chat.
About the film ‘Baiju Bawra’
Sanjay Leela Bhansali stated in an interview with writer Subhash K Jha last year that Baiju Bawra will contain 11-12 songs.
“How can I ever hope to compose songs like the great Naushad Saab did in Baiju Bawra, like Mann tarpat hari darshan and O duniya ke rakhwale and where will I find a voice like Mohammed Rafi? My version of the film will be in sync with our times and the talent available. My Baiju Bawra will be as different from the original Baiju Bawra as my Devdas was from Bimal Roy’s version of Devdas,” Bhansali had stated.
