With back to back successful sequels such as Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Stree 2, it seems that this is the new trend in Bollywood. Amidst this, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday starrer Pati, Patni, Aur Woh, which turned out to be a box office hit in 2019, is reportedly getting a sequel. The news were recently shared by director Mudassir Aziz, who said, “I will provide a very interesting perspective from a woman’s standpoint and lot of laughs.”
During a recent interview with Indian Express, the director spilled the beans over the update on sequel. He revealed that he will be getting into the director’s chair and currently there are many aspects of the family, that are being finalized.
Mudassir did not confirm the official cast, but said that he is currently working on the sequel and would be difficult on his part to give any confirmation. He also noted that while he enjoys working on sequels, he is not the one who really focuses on franchises. He concluded that the official announcement will be made by the studio and producers.
Meanwhile, Pati Patni Aur Woh in 2019, marked the remake of 1978 film of the same name. There has been no update if any of the stars will reprise their role.
