Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryvanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has postponed it release date to Diwali. A report that had gone viral on Wednesday, indicating that Karan Johar has been dropped as co-producer of the movie Sooryavanshi, in the wake of the backlash he faced after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.

Now, the film’s producers and presenter Reliance Entertainment have stated, the news doing rounds of Johar not being part of Sooryavanshi is incorrect. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has denied all the rumours and stated that KJo is very much part of the cop drama. He tweeted, “IMPORTANT… News doing the rounds of #KaranJohar not being part of #Sooryavanshi is untrue, clarifies #RelianceEntertainment.”

The film was supposed to release on 24th March this year, however, the due to the Coronavirus lockdown, the film couldn’t see the light of the day.

In Sooryavanshi, Akshay will be seen as ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi, on a lookout for terrorists planning a deadly strike on Mumbai. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will also reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba in cameos, to help Akshay bust the terror plot.

Actress Katrina Kaif will be seen as Veer Sooryavanshi’s wife while Jackie Shroff plays the antagonist. Sooryavanshi also features Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Sikandar Kher and Nikitin Dheer. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment.
The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar has been at the receiving a lot of criticism after the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death broke.
