The much-awaited movie “Zwigato,” produced by Applause Entertainment and directed by Nandita Das, has now been selected for its Asian Premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival, after its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie will be shown as part of the “A Window on Asian Cinema” category.

The movie, which is directed by Nandita Das, stars Kapil Sharma as an ex-floor manager of a factory who loses his job as a result of the epidemic. He then struggles with the world of ratings and rewards while working as a food delivery rider.

Previously, Kapil Sharma also shared the poster for the movie. He captioned “Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives are proud to announce that our film ZWIGATO, written and directed by Nandita Das, starring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami, will have its World premiere at the prestigious 47th Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF] 2022 in the ‘Contemporary World Cinema’ section.”

His stay-at-home wife starts looking into other employment options in order to supplement the family’s income, both nervously and eagerly anticipating her newfound independence. The movie is about how life is unrelenting, yet there are also shared joyful times. It depicts the lives of inconspicuous, unseen “ordinary” individuals. The 2022 Busan International Film Festival is slated to run from October 5 to October 14.
