Actress Kangana Ranaut is also known for her acting and impeccable choice of films. The ‘Queen’ actress has some impressive projects lined up and one of them includes a film based on Emergency. Kangana Ranaut has been approached to play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and she seems very eager to play it. Not only the actress but also her fans have been awaiting the film and recently the actress took to her Instagram handle to share updates for the same.

The Padma Shri award-winning actress has begun prepping for the role as she tries to get into the skin of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She took to her Instagram stories and gave a glimpse of her working on the project by sharing body scans for the character at the production house and she looked elated in the photo she shared. She shared two stories and captioned the second one, “Guess what is going on in @maninkarnikafilms??” The second picture read, “Body scans for the film Emergency, time to get into Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Ji’s skin.”

Talking about her project, the actress earlier had announced about this project early this year and had confirmed that the movie is not a biopic of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi rather “it is a grand period film. To be precise, it is a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India.”

Besides this, the actress has ‘Dhaakad’ directed by Razneesh Ghai, ‘Thalaivi’ helmed by Vijay A L, Sarvesh Mewara’s directorial ‘Tejas’, ‘Aparajita Ayodhya’ directed by the actress herself and ‘Imli’ directed by Anurag Basu lined up for release.
