Kangana Ranaut announced on Monday that she has begun working on her film alongside R. Madhavan. The untitled project, is being helmed by Vijay and produced by R Ravindran of Trident Arts. The actress shared the update on her Instagram Story, and expressing her excitement, she wrote, “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set.”
The announcement comes shortly after Kangana’s latest film, Emergency, released on January 17, wherein the actress is playing the lead role of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie, the plot of which revolves around the time when emergency was declared, also marked Kangana’s debut as director.
Kangana’s post on Insta featured the clapperboard from the film’s set, offering a glimpse into the early stages of production. Known for their chemistry in Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), the duo has created high expectations for this venture.

Speaking of her collaboration with Tanu Weds Manu co-star, the psychological thriller started filming in Chennai in 2023. The actress had shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, about the commencement, and had described the script as “very unusual and exciting.” While the details of the storyline remain under wraps, the film’s genre and the actor’s previous success have already sparked buzz of excitement among the audience.
