Disney+Hostar launched the trailer of Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2, on Thursday. The movie is the sequel of a comedy-drama and stars Meezaan Jafferi, Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, and Shilpa Shetty. Actress Shilpa Shetty will be making a comeback in the film industry. She was away from the big screen for 14 years.

Actor Akshay Kumar has been a good friend of the director, Priyadarshan, and has worked with him. He helped in the trailer launch and also wished good luck to the team. He wrote, “Happy to launch the trailer of my dear friends, @priyadarshandir Sir, @SirPareshRawal and @rtnjn‘s next #Hungama2, a crazy laugh riot.”

The story of the film revolves around Meezan’s character who has been accused to be the father of his collegemate’s baby. Paresh Rawal plays the same iconic role as Radhyesham Tiwari from the first movie, who suspects his wife of having an extra-marital affair. Shilpa Shetty plays the role of his wife.

Paresh Rawal’s comedy timing will contribute to making this movie, a laughter riot along with other veterans like, Johny Lever and Rajpal Yadav. The trailer also features the remake of the 90s song, ‘Churake Dil Mera Goriya Chali’. The song stars Meezaan and Shilpa Shetty dancing together.

Last year, Priyadarshan said to PTI that he had approached actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Siddharth Malhotra, and Kartik Aryan but they rejected the proposal. “They all refused to do the film. Now, I am working with Meezaan. They all refused because maybe they thought I am an outdated director. After all, I was out of the Hindi film industry for five years,” he said.

The film will be released on July 23 on Disney+Hotstar.
