Recently, the makers Shemaroo Entertainment and producer Sarita Ashwin Varde confirmed the sequel of Bhagam Bhag. Almost all the reports suggested that the three original cast members including Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Govinda, will be making a comeback. But, Govinda has recently come out in public and stated that has not been offered the sequel for 2006 film.
As per the reports by Mid-Day, the actor spoke on record stating, “Nobody has approached me for Bhagam Bhag 2, or sat down for a discussion. There are stories of me doing not just Bhagam Bhag 2, but many other sequels, including Partner.”
In case you are not familiar with – the rights of the sequel were purchased only recently from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions who is also scripting the film. In the statement she remarked, “A special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge.”
When Govinda was asked if he would be open to join the star cast of the sequel, the actor said that he would only take the decision after discussing the project in its entirety.
