Fahadh Faasil’s Joji receives Best Feature Film title at Swedish International Film Festival

SIFF gives a forum to showcase independent movies from the whole world. The festival is set to commence on October 25 and it will continue till October 31.

Actor-producer Fahadh Faasil on Thursday informed that his highly-acclaimed film Joji has won a top award at the Swedish International Film Festival. “Good News from Sweden! JOJI won The Best International Feature Film Award @ the Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF) 2021,” he put down on his Facebook handle.

SIFF gives a forum to showcase independent movies from the whole world. The festival is set to commence on October 25 and it will continue till October 31. The winners of the carnival from several categories will be screened for the audience in the week-long film festival.

Joji was helmed by Dileesh Pothan and was Syam Pushkaran’s script. The film premiered instantly on Amazon Prime Video in April this year. It unfolded to applaud and favorable reviews from the critics, proving to be one of the best Malayalam movies to release this year so far. Joji was the second association between Fahadh, Dileesh, and Syam. The trio had before collaborated for Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), which also earned a lot of love and applause from critics and the audience alike.

However, on the work front, Fahadh is presently busy shooting for his Telugu debut. He is featuring as the antagonist in Tollywood star Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa. Penned and directed by Sukumar, the movie will be released in two parts. He also has a new multi-starrer film in his kitty. He will shortly start shoot for Vikram, which features Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi in the key roles.
