Disha Patani and Mohit Suri worked together for the first time with the release of Malang in 2020 which was a commercial success. In addition, she received praise for her performance, and Malang’s songs are still popular. Following a three-year break, the actress and Mohit reconnect in the movie Ek Villain Returns, which also stars Tara Sutaria, Arjun Kapoor, and John Abraham.
Mohit Suri’s action movie with Disha
According to sources familiar with the project, Mohit Suri and Disha Patani are producing an action movie together under Vishal Rana’s Echelon Productions company.
A source close to the development revealed, “Mohit and Vishal have been discussing a collaboration for a while now and things have finally fallen into place. The duo is all set to team up on a sleek action film, which will go on floors in January 2024″.
The source said that Mohit and Vishal thought Disha would be a perfect fit for the role while they were looking into casting. “It’s a female-led action film and the director-producer duo feel that very few in India can pull off action sequences with conviction. Disha has over the years expressed her desire to spearhead an action film and she was very excited by the offer to do one with Mohit. She has verbally agreed on doing the film and is excited to start 2024 with an actioner,” the source added.
In the meantime, Mohit Suri is working on the final version of his script and his team is also working on the pre-production phase. Vishal is busy with Sunny Deol’s social drama Safar which is currently on floors. In addition, the director plans to reunite with Abbas Mustan on a thriller starring Sunny Deol.
