Singer-Actor Diljit Dosanjh is currently busy promoting his album and learning culinary skills. Now, new reports suggest that Diljit has said yes to a movie with Ali Abbas Zafar with the background of 1984 riots. The director, recently signed a deal with Netflix for a superhero film featuring Katrina Kaif. It looks like before working with the actress, Ali will collaborate with Diljit.
While talking to Mumbai Mirror, Diljit Dosanjh confirmed his collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar and that the shooting will begin as soon as the restrictions due to Coronavirus are removed. He said, “Yes, I am really looking forward to this film. Once lockdown restrictions are removed, we will decide on the dates.” Fans are excited to see the actor-director duo working together.
In March, before the pandemic started, Diljit finished his shooting for his upcoming Hindi movie, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The film also features Manoj Bajpayee and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is a wedding comedy, where an investigating officer (Manoj) hired by Fatima’s family digs into the personal affair of the groom (Diljit). He further added, “Both are great co-stars, it was a wonderful team and we all bonded well on the set.”
On the other hand, Diljit shot for a Punjabi romcom which will release as soon as the theatre opens again. Talking about the film, he said, “It’s a period film called Jodi.”
