Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn have been reported to return for the much-awaited De De Pyaar De 2 sequel. Fans are already thrilled about the news. There are also talks that the romantic comedy will hit theatres on May 1, 2025. The news was posted by T Series on its official social media accounts.
Taking to their Instagram handle, Luv Films and T Series official wrote, “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by @anshul3112, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan & @gargankur82 and written by @tarun.j.85 & Luv Ranjan.”
The release date of De De Pyaar De 2 has been locked by the DDPD crew, according to an earlier exclusive scoop from Pinkvilla. Reliable sources connected to the development stated that De De Pyaar De 2 will be released on May 1, 2025, which is on May 1st, the Labour Day and holiday of Maharashtra.
“It’s a four-day long weekend and is perfect for a film like De De Pyaar De 2, which is a family entertainer appealing to audiences of all age groups. The film will be looking to reap the benefit of the summer vacations too, as that’s when families step out in big numbers to consume content on the big screen,” revealed a close source.
According to the reports, De De Pyaar De 2 would begin filming in June 2024, following Ajay Devgn’s completion of filming Singham Again and Raid 2.
Besides Ajay and Rakul, Tabu played the lead in De De Pyaar De. The main character is 50-year-old Ashish (Ajay), a divorcee who develops feelings for 26-year-old Ayesha (Rakul). Tabu portrays Ajay’s ex-wife in the movie. The narrative clarifies the complications that follow Ajay falling in love with a girl the same age as his children, as well as the challenges that he experiences.
