Ananya Panday will be seen in Puri Jagannadh’s Fighter opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Vijay Deverakonda will be making his Bollywood debut with this film, also the pan-India film which will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

Rumors were floating around that Ananya’s father Chunky Pandey would be playing the actress’ father in the movie. Chunky had clarified in an interview with Mumbai Mirror saying, “I would love to play Ananya’s father, but right now what you are hearing are all rumors. I’d wanted my daughter to be a doctor like my parents, but choose to follow me into the movies and I was so proud and thrilled when she bagged a Filmfare award which has eluded me. I have told her every movie is a kundali and its for her to chart her own destiny”.
Meanwhile, Chunky will be seen in the series Abhay 2 as a serial killer. The show also stars Kunal Kemmu, Asha Negi, Ram Kapoor and will stream on 14th August.
