Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan starrer Border 2 has commenced its shooting. The movie will also feature Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh.

The film, which is sequel to 1997 film Border, is being helmed by Anurag Singh.
The 1997 movie was directed by J P Dutta, and was based on the backdrop of Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. The movie starred Sunny Deol in lead role along with Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Suniel Shetty, Sudesh Berry, Puneet Issar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rakhee, Tabu, Pooja Bhatt, and Sharbani Mukherjee.
Border 2 is being backed by powerhouse production house comprising of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. It is expected that the movie will be based on the events of Kargil War 1999.
