Bholaa box office day 1 collection: Ajay Devgn’s directorial co-starring Tabu debuts at 11.2 crores

According to Box Office India, Bholaa had a slow start during the morning shows but did well throughout the daytime. Because of the Ram Navami holiday, Bholaa has made more than Rs 10 crore.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, the movie Bholaa, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was released in theatres on Thursday. The movie debuted at 11.20 crore net. The Ajay Devgn-directed action thriller is a remake of Kaithi, a 2019 Tamil film.

Film trade expert Taran Adarsh shared Bholaa’s first-day revenue and wrote, “Bholaa puts up a decent score on Day 1 [Ram Navmi]… Healthy footfalls during spot bookings – towards evening shows specifically – compensate for the low turnout in morning plus noon shows… Thursday ₹11.20 crore. India biz (business). Day 1 biz tilts more towards mass centres, with Mumbai remaining low… Needs to gather pace over the weekend for a respectable total.”

Sharing the collections of the film at national chains, he further tweeted, “Bholaa at national chains… Week 1 – Day 1 [Thursday]… PVR: ₹2.44 cr, INOX: ₹1.73 cr, Cinepolis: ₹1.03 cr. Total: ₹5.20 cr.”

According to Box Office India, Bholaa had a slow start during the morning shows but did well throughout the daytime. Because of the Ram Navami holiday, Bholaa has made more than Rs 10 crore despite poor performances in Southern regions and big cities like Mumbai and Delhi. In accordance with BOI, “Bholaa put up a decent first day total of around Rs 10 crore net plus thanks to a holiday in parts of the country and a decent performance in current after a dull advance. Some of the mass circuits suggest a higher total but are likely to be compensated by a lower ratio of business coming from South and Maharashtra which will have low numbers. There is no holiday in the South outside Nizam / Andhra but that had a big local release.”

“The film did not look to reach these numbers in the morning but due to good performance in mass pockets it has managed to get there. The circuit ratios will be similar to Samraat Prithviraj though as Bholaa has a 3D version there is higher contribution at multiplexes compared to Samraat Prithviraj. Figures of cities in UP and Rajasthan are less than Samraat Prithviraj on day one but still good and it’s about going on from here which Prithviraj Samraat could not really do,” it was further reported.
