Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Paresh Rawal has kicked off shooting of their upcoming horror – comedy film, Thama. The movie is set to be directed by Aditya Satpodar, and will have mix of two eras: present – day Delhi and the Vijayanagar Empire of the old days with vampire.
The reports have suggested that the trio has shot has introductory scenes at Chitra Studio, located in Mumbai. The set has been designed as a Delhi flat, which is claimed to be Paresh Rawal’s character’s home. The reports added that the shooting is being done at night and the schedule commenced from December 12, 2024. It is expected that shoot will go on till December 23, post which the team shall have their New Year break. It shall then resume in January 2025.
The team is expected to move to Ooty for shooting in February, after shooting in Delhi for a month. Nawazuddin Siddique will join the team in Ooty, who has been roped in to play antagonist with a unique look.
The reports have also suggested that extensive shooting sessions has been scheduled in the forests of Ooty, as Nawaz’s character has been living in the jungle.
Thama is also expected to set a love angle between Rashmika and Ayushmann’s characters, and is scheduled to release on Diwali 2025.
