“#Metro…. इन दिनों is bringing kuch nayi, kuch purani, kuch meethi, kuch namkeen, kuch hatke aur kuch pyaari si kahaaniyan! Witness this emotional but quirky journey on #July4th in cinemas near you.”
Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro… In Dino is a much-anticipated romantic drama that serves as a spiritual sequel to his acclaimed 2007 film Life in a… Metro. The film weaves together four heartwarming stories of contemporary couples, each exploring love and relationships in today’s world.
Featuring a stellar cast, the anthology brings together Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Notably, Konkona Sen Sharma is the only returning member from the original film, though she is expected to play a fresh role.
Anurag Basu conceived the idea for the film during the first COVID-19 lockdown and later developed it into an interconnected narrative. Shot across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Lucknow, the movie concluded its filming in March 2025. A nostalgic touch is added with music by Pritam, who also composed for Life in a… Metro.
Adding to the intrigue, Anupam Kher has lent his voice to a song in the film, further heightening anticipation. With its blend of nostalgia and new-age storytelling, Metro… In Dino is set to offer an emotional yet quirky cinematic experience when it releases on July 4.
