Big B Amitabh Bachchan, has been seen sharing his daily life experiences through his blog. The actor recently wrote about his shooting experience for two of his epic films, Deewar and Sholay. He used to shoot two films at the same time by working double shifts. The actor used to travel from Ramgarh to Mumbai and vice-versa, and shoot day and night.
He wrote, “The climax of Deewar…the run after being chased by brother and shot in the back..was to be done at night..the permissions and the location at Ballard Estate, the pictures I shared during the shoot of MAYDAY, were given only at late night..after 10 pm..so work from 10 pm the whole night..finish by about 5 am..rush straight to the airport, catch a flight to Bangalore, drive for an hour to Ramgarh the SHOLAY location and shoot for the day there…and by evening rushing again to the airport, on a flight to Mumbai and shoot the night climax for DEEWAR..catching sleep on the flight..on like this for days until the work is over.”
He followed the same routine for stage shows and concerts in the 80s. The most important thing to note here was that he never missed a single flight or any Concert show timing. Even today, the 78-year-old actor is known for his punctuality.
He has been an inspiration to many due to his dedication and hard work. He shared a quote by Mahatma Gandhi and wrote about hard work, ” it is said .. perhaps by the Mahatma himself that even a 15 min strong undisturbed deep sleep is enough to replenish the body of all that it requires to function at maximum .. often that has been practiced.”
Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the movie, Gulabo Sitabo (2020) with Ayushmann Khurrana. The actor has a list of upcoming movies that include Jhund, Chehre, Brahmastra, Hrishikesh Mukherjee Special and many others.
