Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Oh My God 2’ to release in theatres soon – Here’s what we know

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Oh My God 2’ is in the making and it stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. The first installment of the movie was released in 2012, which turned out to be a great success, due to the distinct topics it reached out to and stating important facts. The film showcased Akshay in Lord Krishna’s role who had come to rescue an atheist human being named Kanji.



After almost 11 years, the makers are back with the sequel which is directed by Amit Rai and Ashwin Varde. The film is produced by Jio Studious and Viacom 18. This time around, the upcoming comedy-drama will showcase Akshay as Lord Shiva’s character. The film is set in context with the significance of Sex Education in India. Earlier, it was known that the second installment will directly be streamed online on Jio Cinemas. However, now it has been understood that the film will have a theatrical release.

The actor took to his Instagram account and revealed the first look of his film on the 23rd of January and it features other cast members such as Arun Govil, Govind Namdev, Prantar and Aamir Naik. According to sources, the film is scheduled to release in December this year. Akshay has also confronted that Oh My God is one of the best films of his acting career and will be focused to meet the audience’s expectations, given that part one gained enormous applause from the masses.
