Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namastey London, which was originally released in 2007, is set to make a comeback on the silver screen on the occasion of Holi, on March 14. The movie, directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, was a blockbuster hit.

Sharing the news on his Instagram handle, Akshay wrote, “Thrilled to announce the re-release of #NamasteyLondon on the big screen this Holi, 14th March! Get ready to relive the magicunforgettable songs, iconic dialogues, and timeless romance with @katrinakaif, all over again. See you at the movies!”

Namastey London revolves around Katrina’s character, Jasmeet, a young woman born in India and raised in the UK. She loves to party, dress fashionably, and drink the night away. When she informs her parents (Rishi Kapoor and Nina Wadia) that she wishes to marry a white man, she is taken to India to find her a traditional groom. Enter Akshay’s character, Arjun Singh, who falls in love with Jasmeet at first sight. He manages to marry her, but is deceived upon her returning to the UK. How he ultimately wins her heart forms the crux of the story.

The songs in the film are composed by Himesh Reshammiya, and penned by Javed Akhtar, and it remains among fan favorite even today.
