There is a reason why Akshay Kumar is called Khiladi Kumar. It is not only because of the stunts which he can do but also the way he manages his time. In the pandemic when even megastars of B-wood didn’t come with many releases, Akshay’s pipeline is full of movies. Recently his film Bell Bottom’s trailer was released in which he will be playing the role of a spy. The movie will hit the cinema theatres on 20 August 2021.
Khiladi Kumar has often been termed as the man of versatility and his filmography is evidence of it. He picks controversial and hard-hitting topics and makes them successful. Some of the examples, were Toilet Ek Prem Katha, talking about sanitation and open defecation, a transgender in Laxmii and a making padman no less than a superman. After Bell Bottom, he is scheduled for another project with the same team for ‘Cinderella’. Talking about the film he said, “It’s a psycho-thriller and I’m not the Cinderella, that’s all I can say”.
In an Akshay Kumar interview, it has kind of become a ritual where he is asked about how he manages to appear in 3-4 films every year. This time he replied, “I don’t know why people think it’s not achievable. It is possible – I have to do 4 films a year, per film I take 40 days so it’s 160 days. You have 205 more days left where you can do ads, go on a holiday with your family for a month, host reality shows, and another 52 days you can take off on Sundays. It’s pretty easy. 365 days and 24 hours a day, you can do so much!”
