Nation-wide lockdown was imposed in late March amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Shootings were put on hold. However with the commencement of Lockdown 5.0 and a new set of Government guidelines filmmakets get Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s approval for shootings of ads, shows, and shoots for films which will resume from the next few days.
Filmmakers are planning to resume their shoot as soon as possible keeping in mind all the safety majors. Ealier we reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi will go on floors from next week. Now there are some News of Abhishek Bachchan starrer, ‘The Big Bull’ could go on floors in July.
With all precautions in place, the makers of The Big Bull plan to resume shooting of the film from July. In order to ensure maximum safety the makers are planning the arrangements before they resume the shoot.
One of the producers of the film, Anand Pandit, spoke to IANS about their plans. “We are looking at July because a lot needs to be worked out. All precautions and arrangements need to be in place, as well as dates of the actors,” he said.
He further added, “Anand Pandit said, “Apart from making effort to stick to the government protocol, we will also have sanitisation tunnels at all our locations. We are also considering a location where the entire crew is stationed during the shoot rather than them going back home every day.”
The major shoot of the film ‘The Big Bull’ has been shot in the capital, and now there’s no more outstation shoot pending. The team only has to finish some parts in Mumbai. As for shooting in Maharashtra, the state government issued an official stating the guiding principles for the restart of the media and entertainment industry.
The Big Bull was ealier scheduled to release on 23rd October but due to shooting being stalled there’s no official confirmation with dates yet.
