It has been two years since the movie Laal Singh Chaddha was released in theaters. The announcement of making this film had really created a stir among the public, who were keen on watching Aamir Khan’s performance. It was a remake of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks. With the international success of the Hollywood movie, the viewers had very high expectations from Aamir to produce a film that would change their thinking and perception towards life.

Upon its theatrical release, Laal Singh Chaddha received positive reviews from a large number of film critics. Still, the audience was not quite satisfied with the movie. Some of them even pointed out how they remained discontent with Aamir’s acting, particularly in the first half. Aamir has often shared that this box office failure took a huge toll on him. The 3 Idiots actor has even considered it as a quitting point from acting earlier. But now in an interaction, he shared his opinions on what made the movie run into a hurdle.

The Dhoom 3 actor feels it was his acting that was a big disappointment in the film. Aamir shared this on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Chapter 2. He spoke about how Thugs of Hindostan did not do well, right before Laal Singh Chaddha.

Dangal actor, however, assured one and all that he had learned from mistakes, and in the next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, he had decided to give a far better performance.
