Due to the Indo-China rift at the border currently, the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have taken a big decision. The team has called off the Ladakh schedule. The cast and crew were ready to resume shooting in October as the shoot came to a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Actor, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently revealed that she had about 25 days of shooting left and couldn’t wait to start shooting the film again.
However, now, because of the military stand-off, the makers are planning to shift the base to Kargil as reported by Mid-Day. They will be shooting all the Ladakh scenes in Kargil and the CEO of Viacom-18 who is helming the same confirmed it.
Another source also revealed that the team doesn’t want to risk anyone’s health and Aamir is even more scared after his helper at home tested positive. The actor also wants to refrain from shooting in areas where there are containment zones or where life is at risk. Hence due to the current scenario, the shooting at Ladakh is cancelled.
Aamir also pointed out that many countries are facing the second wave of COVID-19 and it is his priority to keep everyone safe and healthy. Even though there are many scenes to shoot, the studio has decided to pause for now.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of “Forrest Gump” and also stars Mona Singh and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The film is already finished shooting in Kolkata, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Amritsar. The 2 most important places where most of the shooting was going to take place were Delhi and Ladakh but now have been paused due to the lockdown.
