Jung Hae In, the beloved actor renowned for his role in the hit K-drama D.P., is making a highly anticipated return to the big screen. He’s set to charm audiences once again in the sequel to the popular film Veteran, titled I, The Executioner. In this new movie, he stars alongside the acclaimed actor Hwang Jung Min.
New stills from I, The Executioner, also known as Veteran 2, have been released, giving fans a glimpse of the thrilling action and dynamic partnership between Jung Hae In and Hwang Jung Min. The photos highlight their efforts as they work together to hunt down dangerous criminals.
Released on August 6, 2024, by CJ ENM Movie, the new stills offer a look at the film’s intense scenes. One image features Hwang Jung Min as the determined detective Seo Do Chul, who is resolute in his quest for justice. Another photo shows him in a high-stakes chase, running after criminals with an intense expression, while a third captures him in a dramatic fight scene set in a torrential downpour.
Jung Hae In takes on the role of rookie detective Park Sun Woo. In his debut uniform shot, he appears resolute as he confronts a knife-wielding suspect. Another image shows him undercover, blending into a crowd with a microphone in his ear as he monitors a suspect. Additionally, a few duo shots feature Jung Hae In and Hwang Jung Min working together to solve cases, showcasing their teamwork in the investigation.
Directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, known for films like The Battleship Island, Escape from Mogadishu, and the original Veteran, I, The Executioner follows detective Seo Do Chul and his team, now including Park Sun Woo, as they pursue a serial killer. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 13.
