ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has been facing a rocky relationship with HYBE since April. Recently, she disclosed that HYBE included NewJeans members Hanni and Minji in BTS’ “Permission to Dance” music video without her consent.

Before their debut with NewJeans, Hanni and Minji made appearances in the well-known BTS music video “Permission to Dance.” This connection went unnoticed by many fans until Hanni and Minji were introduced as members of NewJeans. Some fans were pleased to see them, while others were skeptical, feeling that HYBE used BTS’ video to promote the new girl group without clear intentions.

On July 23, 2024, Min Hee Jin claimed that she had not approved Hanni and Minji’s appearance in the BTS music video. She stated that HYBE included them without her permission while they were still trainees. This revelation came amid accusations from HYBE that Min Hee Jin had taken trainees from Source Music to form NewJeans.

In response to these accusations, Min Hee Jin shared an email she had sent to HYBE CEO Park Ji Won before NewJeans’ debut. In the email, she expressed her dissatisfaction with Hanni and Minji being featured in the “Permission to Dance” video without her agreement. She highlighted that this action was just one of many impolite behaviors she had experienced, making it difficult for her to trust Source Music or HYBE. She pointed out that several decisions were made without her knowledge, further straining her working relationship with HYBE.
