On July 23, 2024, South Korean media outlet OSEN reported that Byeon Woo Seok is no longer working with the security team responsible for extreme measures taken against fans at South Korean Incheon International Airport. Recently, the team was seen shining flashlights at fans attempting to photograph the actor. This action was deemed insensitive, especially since ordinary citizens were also present.
Additionally, videos from the incident showed the security team closing the terminal entrance and even checking passengers’ boarding passes, raising further concerns. These actions led to a complaint being filed with the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, labeling the behavior as a human rights violation.
