JioHotstar is adding fresh entertainment to its streaming library this May 15 with action-packed crime dramas and highly anticipated new seasons arriving for viewers. From intense investigations to high-octane thrillers, the platform’s latest lineup promises suspense, drama and binge-worthy storytelling for the weekend.
1) Inspector Avinash season 2
Randeep Hooda returns as the fearless supercop of 1990s Uttar Pradesh as the system he once served turns against him. Picking up from season 1, Inspector Avinash Mishra finds himself fighting a dangerous criminal nexus led by Sheikh (Amit Sial) and Devi (Abhimanyu Singh) expanding an illegal weapons network across the state. Meanwhile, his son is implicated in a murder case, causing his marriage to Poonam (Urvashi Rautela) to fracture under the pressure. Rajneish Duggal, Shalin Bhanot and Freddy Daruwala also return in key roles.
2) Dutton Ranch
Following the events of Yellowstone Season 5, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) leave Montana behind and relocate to South Texas, where they are fighting to build a new life on a 7,000-acre ranch while raising young Carter (Finn Little). Their peace is short-lived as a formidable rival ranch owner named Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) emerges as an adversary as shrewd and ruthless as Beth herself, while Everett McKinney (Ed Harris), a war veteran and local veterinarian, brings a different kind of complication. Jai Courtney, Natalie Alyn Lind and Marc Menchaca also star.
3) Rivals season 2
Adapted from Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire Chronicles, the second series of this 1980s British television drama returns with David Tennant as the embattled Lord Tony Baddingham. Picking up directly from Season 1’s cliffhanger, Tony must fight to hold onto both his life and his crumbling Corinium TV empire, while the insufferably charming Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) continues to be everyone’s greatest temptation and most dangerous rival. Aidan Turner, Danny Dyer and Bella Maclean return alongside new additions Nafessa Williams, Katherine Parkinson, Emily Atack and Luca Pasqualino.
With gripping crime thrillers and action-heavy dramas leading the platform’s latest releases, JioHotstar is offering viewers an exciting mix of entertainment this weekend.
