The Super Mario Bros Movie, which is an adaptation of the Nintendo Video game has already become the worldwide top-grossing movie of 2023 at the box office with $508.7M in ticket sales.
Also, it is now the second-biggest animated film since 2019 behind fellow Illumination release Minions: The Rise of Gru, which bagged $942.5 million during its run last year.
Through Sunday, Super Mario has grossed $347.8 million Nationally and $330 million overseas for an exceptional global amount of $678 million. Its international cume includes a second-weekend gross of $94 million.
