Fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter, and fortunately, some spoilers for Kagurabachi Chapter 43 have surfaced online. Here’s what we know about the leaks.
Kagurabachi Chapter 43 spoilers
Chapter 43, titled “Fulfill,” continues with Chihiro Rokuhira in the crumbling Storehouse. He needs to make contact with every prisoner to imbue them with his Spirit Energy so that Hakuri can transport them. Meanwhile, Shiba is anxiously watching from outside, worried about both Chihiro and Hakuri. Hakuri understands that Kyora Sazanami’s strong will is the only thing stopping the Storehouse from collapsing right away.
If Kyora’s willpower gives in to the corrosion, the Storehouse will collapse, putting everyone inside, including Chihiro, in grave danger. In the auction hall, Shinuchi’s deadly flowers are causing chaos, and the Kamunabi sorcerers are in panic. They realize that Kyora is losing control and advise each other to flee if they want to survive.
Kyora recalls his late wife’s words, who believed he could end the Rakuzaichi auction if he wanted to. She thought the auction had taken over the Sazanami family, and without it, Kyora might have been more human. He also remembers his father entrusting him with the auction, which strengthens his resolve to continue it. This obsession helps him resist Shinuchi’s corrosion, just as Hakuri and the others had hoped.
Shiba finds it ironic that they are relying on Kyora’s obsession to save the situation, thinking everyone is crazy for betting on such a fragile hope. Despite the chaos, Kyora urges the audience to eliminate his threats for money, insisting the auction go on. Hiyuki protects Hakuri, who is focused on rescuing the prisoners.
Hakuri is reminded of a past failure with the Woman With Icy Skin and vows not to let anyone die under his watch again. After much effort, Chihiro and Hakuri successfully transfer all the prisoners outside the Rakuzaichi building.
Thinking about his past, Kyora remembers his wife’s words and realizes his mistake wasn’t in upholding the auction’s tradition but in not believing in Hakuri’s vision. Chihiro’s earlier statement that believing in Hakuri would have been the best action rings true to Kyora now. He regrets that he is the only one in the Sazanami clan who couldn’t fulfill his role.
Cliffhanger Ending
As Chihiro reappears in the auction hall, he sees Kyora succumbing to his injuries, with Shinuchi’s flowers growing from his body. The chapter ends on this dramatic note, and the spoilers mention that the next issue will feature a colored page.
