Season 2 of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World started airing in July 2024 with episodes being released weekly. However, there’s been a delay announced by Studio Palette and the production team to ensure that the show maintains its high production quality. Episode 5, which was scheduled for August 7, 2024, will be postponed.
The production committee posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) explaining that the delay is necessary to keep the story’s quality up to par. They assured fans that the entire team, including the author Kei Sazane, the editorial team, and the studio, is committed to delivering a great show and appreciates everyone’s patience.
Kei Sazane, the author of the original light novel, also shared his thoughts on X. He expressed his regret for any inconvenience the delay might cause but emphasized that the delay is a good sign. The goal is to make Our Last Crusade even better, ensuring that fans enjoy the series more.
The studio mentioned that due to this delay, they will re-air some episodes from Season 1 starting August 7. Here’s the updated schedule for these re-airings:

- August 14 – Season 1, Episode 2
- August 21 – Season 1, Episode 3
- August 28 – Season 1, Episode 5
- September 4 – Season 1, Episode 9
- September 11 – Season 1, Episode 10
- September 18 – Season 1, Episode 11
- September 25 – Season 1, Episode 12
Once the new episodes of Season 2 are ready, the series will resume streaming from the beginning. More details on the new release schedule will be posted on the official website soon. The show will be available on Crunchyroll and Aniplus Asia in select Southeast Asian regions. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc release for Season 2 has also been delayed.
Directed by Yuki Inaba and with Shunsuke Ishikawa handling the script, the series continues to follow the story of Isaka and Alice, who are enemies in battle but have secret feelings for each other. With the delay, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see how their story unfolds and whether their conflict will ever be resolved.
